Greater Speed Dial


For those, who are interested in ৺Opera's ৺Speed Dial, heres a little Hint: You can cutomize the count of the entrys.

By default, ৺Opera comes with a ৺Speed Dial size of 3x3.

Due to the fact, that most screens are in 16:10 or 16:9 formats, i changed this to 5x3.

How it works:

navigate to

৺ C:\Users\YourUserName\Appdata\Roaming\Opera


and open the file

৺ speeddial.ini


There, you simple append the following rows:

৺
[Size]
Rows=3
Columns=5


you can enter values of your desire right here.

Note: ৺Opera should be closed while performing this change!

Update: Since the ৺Opera 10 beta, you may change this option by clicking on the bottom right and select "Customize Speed Dial". Unfortunately my desired Layout of 5x3 isn't available...

Adding Favicons to search

Opera has the great ability, that you can put your ৺search fields everywhere you want to. For identifying fast, which ৺search area belongs to what ৺search engine, opera uses the favicons from the ৺search engine.
